BOOFEST began seven years ago right here in Kingwood, but the idea was planted long before. I grew up in Kingwood, and one of the hardest things about Halloween as a kid was that we couldn’t see all our friends — each of us lived in different villages across Kingwood. After having my first son, Sinatra, I knew I wanted something different for him and his friends.

I imagined a place where kids could meet up, trick-or-treat together, and parents could shop local vendors — all in one safe, fun, community-centered space. That vision became BOOFEST, and over the years it’s grown into one of the area’s most loved fall traditions, bringing together families, small businesses, and neighbors across Kingwood.

Now, we’re excited to bring BOOFEST to families in The Woodlands as well — building and sharing this tradition so even more kids can trick-or-treat, parents can connect, and our community can celebrate together.
