Before they arrive: simple wins, big welcome

Company’s coming! 🛏️🎄 When I start thinking about everything to do, I pause and reset — sometimes more than once a day — not from frustration, but because I’m over-excited (and a little anxious!) for the fun ahead. This quick Linen Flip keeps the vibe calm and cozy without the all-day clean.

Time: 15–25 minutes. Two-song timer, “done not perfect,” and you’re guest-ready.

1) Towels & Sheets (the flip)

Bath & Hand

  • Hang 1 bath + 1 hand + 1 face towel per guest (extras in sight).
  • Swap bath mat; restock TP; add a small trash liner.
  • Set a night towel on the bed for makeup/hair.

Bed Basics

  • Sheets: fitted + flat + pillowcases (verify size & corners).
  • Mattress protector check; fluff duvet/blanket; extra throw at foot.
  • Offer pillow options: 1 soft, 1 medium per person.

Bonus: add a small carafe + glass on the nightstand.

2) The Guest Basket (tiny, mighty)

  • Toiletries: toothbrush, mini toothpaste, lip balm, travel soap/shampoo, razor (sealed).
  • Power: multi-port charger or universal brick + spare cable.
  • Comfort: earplugs, eye mask, mini tissue pack.
  • Snacks & sips: water bottle, sparkling water, granola bar, chocolate square.
  • Extras: lint roller, stain stick, steamer access card.

Place the basket where they’ll see it first (bed or dresser). Add a tiny holiday sprig for cheer. ✨

3) Room Touch-Ups (5 minutes)

  • Open window for 60 seconds, then close; quick surface wipe.
  • Check lamp bulbs + add a nightlight if the room is new to them.
  • Clear one drawer and a closet section with 5 hangers.
  • Place the Guest Card on the nightstand (see printable below).
